God’s Will For Your Life

Psalm 138:8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me (                 );

your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 139:13-14, 16

It all starts with God- Sovereign Creator.

And our response is not to create but to follow.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21

Personal _affection_ without personal _relationship_ produces _false hope_.

 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Matthew 7:24

Relationship with Jesus (Word) produces _obedience_ to God’s will.

1). The will of God is personal.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:5

2). The will of God is present.

for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper and arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.”  Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,

Ephesians 5:14-17

There is power in your now.
