The incarnation (God being made flesh) and the virgin birth were necessary for our salvation.
Jesus came as He did (born of a virgin) to be what He was (sinless) to do what He did (die a substitutionary death) so that we might become sons and daughters of God!
The virgin birth of Jesus is _Good News_.

Bottomline:Can a person reject the Virgin Birth and be a Christian? No! Christianity is not a collection of random truths, that any one truth can be dropped. It is truth- the whole truth. God never says, “Pick and choose what you want to believe.”
