Ministry of Deliverance

When Jesus rebuked demons, he never said I rebuke you. He commanded them to come out of the person. Rebuking is an act, not a word formula. It is an act of authority. The demons are subject to us in Jesus’ Name. How did Jesus deal with demonic people?  He Loved and healed them.

There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Acts 5:16, KJV

Why is the deliverance from a vexed spirit so important?

 Matthew 12:43-45, KJV

  • Demonic dominion
  • We can only deal with _symptoms_ without the power of Jesus.
  • We need the authority of God- _The kingdom of God_.

 Matthew 12:28-29, KJV

Luke 13:31-33, KJV

How did Jesus minister deliverance?

  • _Rebuked_ demons.

How did Jesus deal with demonic people?

Luke 8:1-2, KJV

  • Empowered them to be _witnesses_ (evangelist).

 Mark 5:18-20

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Matthew 10:1, KJV

Jesus’ example for the ministry of deliverance.

Mark 1:21-39

1. The message and authority comes from the kingdom of God.

21 And they went into Capernaum; and straigtway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. 22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

Mark 1:21-22, KJV

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Matthew 12:28, KJV
