Terms for a haughty spirit:
Pride
- Excessive self-esteem.
- A strong sense of being better than others.
Prideful
- Living independently of God.
- Withdrawing from others because of feelings of self-sufficiency.
Vain Glory
- Not honoring God (who deserves it) or others who might deserve it.
Vanity
- An excessive expression of accomplishments and worth or attraction.
Arrogance
- Scorning people that are not the same intellect, nationality, worth or morals.
Arrogant
- Exaggeration of abilities they do not possess but think they do. “Better than thou”
How does God feel about a haughty spirit?
- God hates pride.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the froward mouth, do I hate.

- Abomination

Abomination means:
- strong disdain
- intolerance
- repugnance
- extreme disgust
The spirit of haughtiness is not a demonic spirit but a satanic spirit .
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
