You Need A Church Family

Connection – experiencing and connecting with God.
Conversation – hearing and conversing with God.
Commitment – yielding our lives and investing our treasures.

Acts 2:41-42, 46 (Living Bible) And those who believed Peter were baptized – about 3,000 in all. (42)They joined with the other believers in regular attendance at the apostles’ teaching sessions and at the Communion services and prayer meetings. (46)They worshiped together regularly at the Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness.

W.C.C. A church of baptized believers who are joined together in our commitment to help one another to fulfill God’s purpose individually and collectively.
Why do you need a church family and why is the church the most important plan of God?
1. The church is God’s family.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy,
he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Timothy 3:15 If I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

2. The church is the reason God created the universe.

Ephesians 1:4-5 Even as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love (5)he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will.

3. The church is God’s plan for His eternal purpose.

Eph. 3:10-11 So that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. (11)This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord.

4. Jesus died for the church.

Eph. 5:25, 27 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (27)So that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish

5. The church is the only thing that will last forever.

Eph.3:21 To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

6. The church is the only group to succeed.

Matt. 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

7. The church is the greatest privilege to be part of on earth.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Cor. 3:16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
