Can you have clarity when things seem unclear?

Life Is Short. Cope or Celebrate

Two types of people when it comes to the way they see life.

Cope or Celebrate

In other words….

Some smell the roses, while others complain about the thorns.

Some stare at the beauty of a sunset, while others dread the darkness that follows.

Some embrace time on earth as a gift from God while others agonize life as a grueling test.

Some celebrate while others cope.

Well, how is it with you?

Do you ever feel you are “missing out?”

Burning bush

Take off your sandals.

“Earth is crammed with heaven. And every bush is afire with God.

And only the ones who see takes off their shoes.

The rest- they just sit around and pluck blackberries.”

Who Needs God by Harold Kushner:

“Religion is not a primary set of beliefs, or a collection of prayers or rituals. Religion is first and foremost a way of seeing.

It can’t change the facts about our world we live in but it can change the way we see those facts and that can make a difference.”

Seeing is _believing_.

Believing is _seeing the blind spots_. Hebrews 11:1

“Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Tell the sons of Israel to turn back and camp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you shall camp in front of Baal-zephon, opposite it, by the sea. For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, ‘They are wandering aimlessly in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” And they did so. When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people, and they said, “What is this that we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?” So he had horses harnessed to his chariot and took his people with him; and he took six hundred select chariots, and all the other chariots of Egypt with officers over all of them. So the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he chased after the sons of Israel as the sons of Israel were going out boldly. Then the Egyptians chased after them with all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon. As Pharaoh approached, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were coming after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to the LORD. Then they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness!” But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever. The LORD will fight for you, while you keep silent.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward.”

(Exodus 14:1-15, NASB20)

If you can’t see how to _believe_, you are looking in the wrong direction.

“Jesus *said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?””

(John 11:40, NASB20)

If we believe in Christ….

  • ++We will see His glory.
  • ++We will see His salvation.

Warning:

++Seeing a miracle without believing results is hardening of the heart.

“I saw God everywhere I look.”

2. If you can’t see how to _trust_, you are looking the wrong way.

“But he said, “Please, Lord, now send the message by whomever You will.””

(Exodus 4:13, NASB20)

The journey that God designed will never begin if complete clarity is substituted for complete trust in Him.

3. If you can’t see how to move forward, you may be looking the wrong way.

“Go forward”= “Start moving”
