Pleasing God – part 3

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. –Hebrews 13:16

1. Having faith pleases God.

2. Being _spiritually minded_ pleases God.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it Romans 8:5-8

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit?
Mind the Spirit and have a spiritual mind. 

3. The fear of the Lord pleases God.But the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Psalm 147:11

the proper fear and respect of God will motivate believers to _avoid sin_ and the _judgement_ of God.

 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. 

Hebrews 11:5

1. He _walked_ with God.

2. He _feared_ God.14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”Jude 1:14-15
