Mic went dead at 26 minutes. We cut the dead air.
Psalm 77:16 ESV
Baseline Belief:
God is still the God of miracles, He rules over all and nothing is impossible with God.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.
James 5:16b-18
Elijah’s keys for miracles:
1. Know God’s Word
++2. Prayer
++3. Elijah never _gave up_. . .he kept believing, seeking and waiting.
[1 Kings 18:41–46]
Prayer positions us for the miraculous will of God’s supernatural.
[1 Kings 18:41–42]
- _Humility_
“And he bowed himself down on the earth and put his face between his knees.”
- _Labor_
“Bowed himself down” literally means “to crouch, squat down.”
Pastor’s Observation:
++You can’t give birth unless you are pregnant!
[1 Kings 18:43]
NOTHING!!!
Fake Labor??!!
The answer to nothing is KEEP GOING.
[1 Kings 18:44]
Sometimes we don’t get all of the answer, all of the miraculous, but keep believing and trusting because it is coming.
Thirdly the prayer position for the miraculous will of God’s supernatural is _strength_.
[1 Kings 18:45–46]
Principles of waiting OR How to wait well for your break thru miracle:
- Remember God’s _character_.
[Psalm 25:10]
- Rest in God’s _strength_.
[Psalm 55:22]
Remember, you are not called to stand in your own strength but only to rest in Him.
- Reflect on God’s _present help_.
[Psalm 13:5–6]
- Release your _rights_.
[Psalm 37:5–6]
- Reach out to _others_.
[Psalm 145:5–7]
- Rejoice in what is to _come_.
[Psalm 145:5–7]
